Turtle Update

Since last writing about the turtles, a few things have happened. One died. I know it's depressing, but you can't exactly forc feed a turtle that's barely bigger than your big toe. Secondly, 2 more hatched this fall. So in addition to my very own pet turtle, my parents are now raising 2 more. At this rate we'll be giving them away as Christmas presents. Put your requests in now.

Portfolio

Not only does Halloween allow for wonderful dress-up and partying opportunities, it provides me with photo opportunities. This is an excerpt from my costume this year. By the 3rd party, and no real clue who I was, It dawned on me that I was a misplaced Mardi-Gras goer. The facepaint was done with acrylic, and yes, by hand.

House pets and Hairdos

There’s a lot that I need to cover since I've been gone for so long, so I'll try and cram as much into as little space as possible. Sound good? Great!, lets start with the important basics:
I'm Jen
I live in Pittsburgh, Shadyside area
I'm back in school at the Art Institute
No, it is not for my masters- diploma program and a damn good portfolio

The move here: I moved in September to a balmy 3rd floor appt. It's rather nice, and I'm used to the hike up 2 flights of stairs anyway. My neighbors are nice, they provide me with free wireless internet. The landlords are nice, they allow me to keep house pets (see above left picture). When they're not running in and out of the eves, they're ruffling their beds of leaves in my air vents.

Rachele, my former college roommate is dating Steven. Steven is a rather attractive young man who can pull off an Ali G and Napoleon Dynamite impersonation with impeccable accuracy. Not only is he talented in the realm of masquerading, but he also lives right down the street. So, not to be left out, I took the liberty of helping Rachele be a little flamboyant with her hair. The longhaired burnet took a little flair in the Photoshop boutique.

Welcome Back

What a way to reintroduce my web page. I'm starting this back up again, so welcome for round 2. For a little explanation: This was taken on the anual family trip to Canada in August. Yes, those are pike, and yes I did catch them. Slimy little buggers. On this wonderful trip my brother was bitten on the chest by a dog, my sister(21) was hit on by a 15 year old, watched ospreys dive for fish, and went intertubing behind a jetski almost every day.
